It's been such a long year (last year), everything going wrong, breaking or catching fire... I just didn't have any forum time :-(

Anyway - I'm back now and am happy to share these photos:

My incubators are always on!

The breeds in the pics were Blue Copper Maran x Black Rock all from my own breeding stock. I crossed the Black Rock with the Maran hopefully to get wonderful dark brown egg layers and fantastic cockerels for meat.

10 little babies.....they look lovely!
I've had 4 over a 3 week period...been a bit like drawing teeth!!!!

Hi Matthew,good to see you back!Well done with the chicks,lovely pics!!!....a venture we considered,but with the children decided that "disposal" of the little boys was something they're not quite up to!!!

PS, children are often FAR less bothered by the realities of meat than their parents expect them to be......
