  • Chilli ID question

    Hi All,

There may not be an easy answer to this, I sowed several types of chilli this year, amongst which were some Aji Omnicolour. One of the seeds from this pack has produced a plant that quite obviously is not what it should be. Any suggestions would be greatly received!

    David.

It looks like a mushroom pepper?
    Maybe others will confirm.

Scotch bonnet? Mushroom peppers (sometimes called Jamaican Hot) do have a similar shape but I'm not sure whether they have multiple pods per node. I've never grown them, so they might do. How exciting!

I've grown both of those...but I'm not convinced...not quite right?

How big is the plants and what are you growing it in?

          Hi Scarlet,
I’ve got it planted in a raised bed in the poly tunnel, again I’m in France so it’s quite warm!
Plant is about 60cm tall and was sown back in March, planted out about end of May time. It’s not got lots of fruit on it, although lots of flowers that it’s probably now a bit late to get anything from so it was definitely behind my other chilli plants that are now ripening.
