          Sorry to resurrect this again but despite being slowed by the rather cold ( down to below zero at times) temperatures in my greenhouse I now have 2 tomato plants with tomatoes starting to turn red.

                    Yes, I believe they are alicante tomatoes from the location of the chilli plant the original fell into.

                        great to see tomatoes ripening so early. I have this variety in my greenhouse but noi where near ripening yet.

                                And the verdict is........Absolutely gorgeous! A really intense flavour. I think I'd forgotten just how good a home grown tomato is.
