  • I screamed like a girl (sexton beetle)

    I found a big monster beetle in the front room the other night, buzzing away behind the blinds. I thought it was a chafer, but on Googling I find it's actually a Sexton or Burying Beetle. They can smell corpses from a mile away, and will drag carrion (mice, birds) under the ground. Gross!

    eeeeeeewwwwww i'd have done more than scream ..... i'd have moved out until someone came and got rid of it

      Double Eeeeeeuuuuuwwwww!! What made it visit your front room?! You haven't got Mr Sheds stashed under the floor boards with shards of glass stuck in him, have you?

          blooming nora ~~~two sheds,they are big,,it says they usually in pairs,~~~get ready for another ,but are they good or bad news,that is when in the garden,not,home,uuuuu,she shudders,one consolation,if they live under ground,they won't climb the stairs for bed,
