Only way to never get stung is wear a full suit of body armour. Seriously though, try using wasp traps hung from fruit trees etc - there is a thread entitled "wasp traps" in the Top Tips section - not sure why it'sthere and not in pests and diseases but there you go - who said things have to be done in a certain way

Muriel I always have Anthisan Cream in the car when ever we go out. My husband has always had a bad reaction when he has been stung but I was told that you build up a natural immunity to the stings so that the next sting is not as bad as the previous one. This has proved true with me.

I think try not to panic and flap at the wasp or 'annoy' them, then when they see you've no jam on you () they'll go.

I seriously dislike wasps too, but don't like to kill things, I'm not sure I'd use things to trap them - won't that mean they've been attracted first?

And as LJ says have some cream with you, don't suppose people have 'blue bags' anymore??? Thats what my Nan used to use.

It was dolly blue bags for bee stings and vinegar for wasp stings. That's what my Gran used to say. Vinegar does help a bit but I prefer Anthisan cream.
