    I'm posting this because every spring I forget what this weed is called



    So, to remind myself: it's very common on lawns and grassy areas, it likes dry, sandy nutrient-deficient soil.
    That's a useful indicator: it's all over the area that I'm turning into a veg plot at school.

    Thankfully we're doing raised beds so we can put richer, better soil into them and build up fertility with the usual homemade compost. Yarrow is rich in magnesium, calcium and phosphate, so it's going in the daleks

    It's a PITA - underground runners - appears all over the lawn and flower beds of two gardens I tend. GRRRRR!

        I find it easy to remember its other common name - milfoil (thousand leaves, because of the way they are indented). I find that some of the flowers smell of ham. Two Sheds won't like that!
