I had a couple of hot toddies, the kids' Party Rings and then bed. I feel better this morning, just bunged up now. Day three of the holidays, bladdy typical

Looks like you're on your own now Haze. I've now got bronchitis so no exercise for me, and I'm eating rubbish like ice cream to soothe my throat (I've no appetite at all but managed a curry last night)

I'll only be inflicting my boring diet on you all for another couple of weeks - I must say that it makes me think twice before going for the extra (or inapproprate) item knowing that I'm 'accoutable' on here.
I have no excuse not to exercise (besides 'don't want to') which is why even though I've lost nearly a stone, there are wobbly bits of waist & tum still. Have no idea how to increase motivation in this area.
Hope the bronchitis eases (and not just in time to go back to work next week!) - don't they say that spicy foods knock bugs in the respiritary system for six - or is that just for head colds?
Hazel, you're fab! I'm just starting again, so virtually no Carbs for me again, now. I still have a level teaspoon of Sugar in my Coffee, as I can't stand it without, but have cut down from two spoons a few years ago. I'll just have to reduce the size/number of cups!
Brekkie for me is about 4 rashers of back bacon and 2 eggs, fried, or scrambled with butter and cream! Lunch is a slice or two of Ham and/or a chunk of Cheese, usually whilst gardening somewhere. Dinner is whatever Mr.G conjures up of an evening. Normally meat and two or three veg, but no spuds for me.
I discovered, yesterday, that the 'short walk round the block' that I do with the Pup (now 4 months old) is actually a mile. I do this twice a day, plus 5 or 6 shorter jaunts to the Chooks for feeding and egg collecting etc, and checking on the Horses, too, as well as the gardening I do to scratch a living, I guess I must walk at least five miles a day - much more than I thought!
OK, that's it. I'm trying to summon up the enthusiasm to get off my bum and get started...
